Whether a customer wants to spend $20k on custom furniture for their new home or $500 for a recliner in their first apartment - Furniture World is here. We are searching for a motivated sales associate to help customers and provide world-class service. Sales associates are critical to the overall operation of our retail stores. Associates are responsible for helping customers find furniture for their homes, track & place orders, maintain the decor, and zoning for their areas, process paperwork, manage web orders, and help with overarching sales initiatives. Furniture World is a family owned business for over 28 years. We are growing and seek motivated and hard working individuals to grow our future business.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED Equivalent (Some College Preferred)
• 2 years of service experience with customers (sales, food service, etc)
• Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experienced furniture sales preferred, but not required

• Ability to work unsupervised and a desire for high level of responsibility
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal with customers
• Ability to concentrate in the midst of a fast paced work environment

• Willingness to share department responsibilities to meet deadlines
• Must be flexible to different personality types and work habits, knowing that goals may be achieved in different ways
• Perform other related duties as assigned The working conditions for a sales associate are divided between time in an office with a desk and being out interacting with potential and current customers. Physical Job

Requirements

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
• Ability to work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire day Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
