About the Position: We are looking for a Procurement Specialist who will take charge of identifying and onboarding new suppliers for our supermarket chain. This role requires a strong sales mindset--your main task will be to "sell" our contract to potential suppliers, ensuring they see the value of working with us. If you have procurement experience, that 's a plus, but not mandatory. What truly matters is your ability to negotiate, handle objections, and build strong business relationships. You should be a persuasive communicator, comfortable with phone calls, and able to find the right approach to different suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Proactively search for and engage new suppliers , presenting our company as an attractive business partner.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate pricing , and monitor supplier performance to meet quality and delivery standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for suppliers , ensuring a smooth procurement process.
• Assist in developing product assortments that align with customer needs and company objectives.
• Issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and purchase orders (POs).
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries to stores, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
• Maintain supplier databases, purchase records, and other related documentation.
• Perform additional tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications

:

• 1-3 years of experience in sales, procurement, or a related field. (However, if you are a strong salesperson with no procurement experience, we are open to training you.)
• Proven ability to sell, negotiate, and handle objections confidently.
• Strong communication skills, especially in phone negotiations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and self-organize effectively.
• Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with rejection. Additional Perks:
