Job Description

Position: Applications Engineer/Inside Sales Job Type: Full-Time Classification: Salary, Exempt Schedule: Day Shift, Mon-Fri Reports to: Product Manager / Technical Support

Pay Range

: $62,400 - $85,000 General Purpose The Applications Engineer must have a high school diploma and/or three (3) years of equivalent job experience in a CNC manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal, clerical, organizational, and typing/data entry skills are required as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel both in writing and verbally. Responsibilities

• Phone and email support; cutting tool applications support; engineering technical support - for sales, outside reps, distributors, and customers
• Understand how to leverage CRMs, HubSpot experience is preferred
• Some knowledge of cutting tools and how to use them
• Process, manage, and follow up on Test tool requests for all requests
• Create quotes for certain Brands that require more support
• Support to the customer service team with sales order review and order entry
• Limited travel - attending conferences and some on-site support with customers
• Perform other related duties as required or directed Key Competencies
• Good understanding and experience with all types of metal-cutting technology
• Knowledge of operations of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Okuma & Siemens
• Working understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of attention to detail
• Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills. Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently.
• Ability to work independently or as a team member
• Ability to learn and adapt to new products, machinery, processes, and software

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, Technical High School or College preferred with 3+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles, manufacturing standards, and compliance
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and willingness to learn ERP & CRM systems
• Familiarity with Epicor software a plus
• Familiarity with HubSpot CRM a plus
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Customer service and negotiation skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings Job Type: Full-time Pay: $62,400.00 - $85,000.00 per year
