Full description of the position

Under direct supervision, the outside salesperson represents the company by providing sales and customer service; generating sales by gathering data on customer needs and design through collaboration with residential and commercial building contractors. JOB

• RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Promotes, sells, and secures new accounts for the company.
• Services existing accounts with the necessary products, time, and information.
• Assists with the selection of products best suited to customer needs.
• Prepares, coordinates, and communicates price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers/contractors.
• Maintain high levels of service and quality.
• Follows guidelines set forth by Ware-Butler expectations in service, quality, and sales.
• Works with local & national accounts, with a focus on builder sales, to promote sales and resolve problems.
• Reviews new products and stays abreast of the market.
• Works with the sales manager to develop a consistent service level across service areas.
• Works safely and efficiently, following all company and safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous knowledge and experience in the construction industry.
• Previous experience selling building materials is preferred but not required.
• High efficiency in communication skills.
• Efficient in all Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to perform estimates and take offs.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
• Ability to participate effectively as a team member.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Willingness to learn the Ware-Butler way and grow with our team.
