Job Description

Slager Appliance is a family-owned business with 75+ years of tradition headquartered in Iowa City. We are experiencing rapid growth and therefore are seeking quality individuals familiar with the Dubuque area to add to our sales team. This position will be located in our new Dubuque, IA storefront. Summary As an Appliance Sales professional, you will leverage your core skills in negotiation, customer service, and sales to drive revenue and build strong client relationships. This position requires skills in customer service, retail sales, and product knowledge. Join our team and be a key contributor to our sales success in the competitive appliance industry.

Duties

: Assist customers with recommendation and selection of residential appliances. Provide appliance specifications and documentation to customers as needed. As needed, visit customer location to obtain measurements. Follow up on any quotes or invoices generated for customers. Coordinate delivery and install of appliances with delivery dispatcher. Collect payment for appliances and installation. Maintain a clean and organized show floor, including assisting with relocation of appliances on show floor, unboxing appliances for display, and cleaning. Other duties as assigned.

: Salespersons hourly rate ranges from $18.00 - $24.00 based on experience. Full time earnings would be expected between $36,000 - $50,000 annually. Manufacturer spiffs are available in addition to compensation provided by Slager Appliance. Paid Holidays PTO 401k Work Schedule The sales floor is open 9AM to 6:30PM Monday through Thursday, 9AM to 5PM Friday, and 10AM to 3PM on Saturdays. Salespersons have Sundays and one other day during the week off. Expected hours per week are 38-45 depending on customer volume.

Qualifications

1-3 years of sales experience Proficiency with Windows operating systems Knowledge/experience with appliance industry is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customer centric approach Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 38 - 45 per week
