Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers while driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Utilize effective sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling, to maximize sales opportunities.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash transactions and ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to assist customers effectively.
• Supervise and train new team members on sales techniques and store policies as needed.
• Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
• Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
• Excellent upselling skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
