Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Inside Counter Sales Representative to join our team at a local building materials company and hardware store. In this role, you will be a point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support while assisting them with their purchases. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for sales, and the ability to engage with a diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs.
• Provide knowledgeable information about products and services to enhance customer experience.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales counter and display areas.
• Handle customer inquiries and professionally resolve issues.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing, discounts, and promotions.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance.
• Stay informed about product knowledge, promotions, and industry trends to effectively communicate with customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Previous hardware/lumber experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in retail math to assist with transactions and pricing inquiries.
• Ability to build rapport with customers and provide exceptional service.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn about new products and services.
• Reliable transportation

• Pay to be determined on experience.
• Bilingual a plus, though not required. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour
