Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in eyewear fitting and dispensing, along with excellent customer service skills. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping patients select the right eyewear solutions to meet their vision needs while ensuring a positive experience throughout the process. Saturdays are a must (10am - 5pm)

Responsibilities

- Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses that best suit their needs and preferences. - Conduct fittings and adjustments for eyewear to ensure proper comfort and functionality. - Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations. - Manage retail operations, including inventory control, sales transactions, and customer service inquiries. - Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage, including contact lens hygiene. - Utilize medical billing systems to process insurance claims efficiently. - Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology to provide informed recommendations. Skills - Strong background in retail management, high-volume sales, and negotiation techniques. - Familiarity with medical records management and relevant software systems. - Proficiency in aseptic techniques when handling contact lenses or other medical devices. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
