Overview
The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management and operations of residential or commercial properties. This position is ideal for individuals who possess strong organizational skills, a keen understanding of property management, and the ability to foster positive relationships with tenants and vendors. The Assistant Property Manager will assist in maintaining property standards, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and enhancing tenant satisfaction through effective conflict management and communication.
Duties
- Assist the Property Manager in overseeing daily operations of the property, including facilities management and property maintenance.
- Handle tenant inquiries and concerns with professionalism, utilizing strong phone etiquette to maintain positive relationships.
- Support leasing activities by conducting property showings, upselling available units, and processing lease applications.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and assist in implementing policies that promote a fair living environment for all tenants.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors for services related to property upkeep and improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, maintenance requests, and lease agreements.
- Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants through various channels.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of facilities management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and property leasing processes.
- Excellent conflict management skills to effectively address tenant concerns.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and service providers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with tenants and team members.
- A working knowledge of relevant laws affecting property management is advantageous. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
