Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen interest in retail operations. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring the store runs smoothly.

Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash register transactions and managing cash handling procedures.
• Maintain accurate stock levels by restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and conducting inventory counts as needed.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and product promotions.
• Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth store operations.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Familiarity with cash registers and cash handling procedures is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
