Responsibilities

for a Sales Associate in the Garden Department

• Assisting customers in product selection
• Cashiering customers purchases
• Stocking/caring for seasonal plants as well as associated seasonal items, arranging displays Experience/

Qualifications

needed

• Knowledge of plants and their care a must
• Prior retail garden center/nursery (indoor/outdoor live plants) experience highly desirable
• Your experience is appreciated if you previously worked for Mahoney's, Russell's Garden Center, Pemberton Farms, Wagon Wheel, Home Depot, Lowe's, or other garden center
• Reliable/punctual with a strong work ethic and friendly, outgoing personality Work Schedule
• Full-time is 5 days/week (50+ hours/week)
• Includes both weekend days
• Schedule will generally be either opening at 7 am - 5 pm or 10 am - 7 pm closing
• Schedule may fluctuate according to business needs/season
• Holidays will likely require more hours. Physical

Requirements

• Standing/walking/bending/reaching for periods of time; rain or shine
• Be able to lift/carry approximately 40+ lbs. - everything from plants, firewood, bagged soils, etc.
