Full description of the position

Location: Account Manager will report to between corporate office and offsite location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

:

• Prepare instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
• Responsible for developing and implementing a plan for each facility.
• Determine inventory requirements and control receiving and storage of material.
• Formulate operating policies to maintain & improve inventory management.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach and evaluate associates.
• Primary point of contact for customer interface.
• Develop goals with the customer and assure the achievement of customer goals.
• Prepare quarterly supplier performance reviews.
• Facilitate physical inventory and audit.
• Prepare reports for the customer.
• Function as liaison between Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Supplies to resolve issues.
• Purchasing function, as needed
• Reconcile return and A/P issues.
• Review/ approve customer billing
• Prepares and issues Purchase Orders and Change Notices.
• Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepare market analysis reports.
• Review Purchase Order claims and contracts to ensure they conform to company policy.

Education and Experience

: Four-year college or university certificate; or two to four-years related- experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
• Basic user in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
• Ability to perform computer related tasks relating to data input in a menutype materials management information system
• Operating supply chain experience strongly preferred Supply chain experience strongly preferred

Qualifications

:

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
