Sardilli Produce & Dairy is a family owned and operated Wholesale Produce & Dairy distributor in Hartford, CT. We provide produce, dairy, butter, eggs, cheese, specialty foods and value added precut products to the foodservice and retail industries. Our distribution area encompasses all of Connecticut, Westchester County NY, and Western Massachusetts. We are seeking a Sales Representative for Fairfield County Connecticut and Westchester County NY. The position requires individuals to increase market share by seeking out prospective clients as well as assisting in servicing existing clients. Responsibilities

include;

• Work independently to develop prospective customers to meet the requirements of the company.
• Create and maintain weekly itinerary and submit to upper management.
• Submit Daily Activity log to upper management.
• Maintain customer base through effective follow up and customer service.
• Maintain knowledge of customers sales and activity
• Ability to assist in credit collections when called upon.
• Help market new items to customers and sell promotional items.
• Able to assist in food shows, farm tours and other requests by customers.
• Make small deliveries when called upon in emergencies.
• Assist in marketing campaigns and social media.
• Obtain and report market pricing.
• Attend Sales meeting when required.
• Flexibility to make appointments when best for prospective customer, this may include weekends or evenings. Additional Job

Requirements

;

• 1-2 years minimum in an outside sales type position.
• Foodservice, Manufacturing, Distribution in the Food business is preferred but not required.
• Must have dependable vehicle, valid driver's licensee and proof of insurance.
• Position requires extensive daily travel within assigned territory. This is a road warrior position and not an office position. You will be on the road Monday through Friday.
• Must be on the road daily by 8:00 AM.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Your main daily objective is to find new customers. Order Placement and Collections is the responsibility of the inside office staff.
