Job Description
: Colleague is currently looking for a Senior Account Manager in the Houston, TX area. The Account Manager be working for an Upscale Commercial company. This would be a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This isn't your average account manager role--we need a true industry rockstar with deep horticultural knowledge, strong client management skills, and a proactive, polished approach to property care and relationship-building. You'll be the main point of contact for your assigned properties, overseeing quality, coordinating crews, and being available for any special client requests. You'll be expected to drive results, maintain long-term client satisfaction, and serve as a trusted advisor to property managers and ownership groups.
Responsibilities
:
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 20 high-end multifamily properties
- Serve as the primary contact for client communication and service quality
- Conduct property walkthroughs and identify enhancement opportunities
- Collaborate with operations and field teams to ensure flawless service delivery
- Support estimating, proposals, and work closely with the Director on scope and pricing
- Attend dispatch each morning (6:00-6:15 AM) and participate in calls at 7:45 AM
- Build strong client relationships and assist with business development and networking
- Use company-provided laptop and vehicle (to take home) to manage your accounts efficiently
- You are not required to finish your day at the office - outcomes and communication are what matter Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in landscape account management, ideally in a senior capacity
- Proven success managing large multifamily/commercial portfolios
- Deep horticultural knowledge and understanding of seasonal maintenance needs
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently, with a high level of professionalism and accountability
- Comfortable with early start times and flexible end-of-day scheduling
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required Education and
Qualifications
:
- Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Agronomy, or related field
- Required: Equivalent industry experience and deep horticultural knowledge may substitute for formal education
- Certifications like Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) or Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) are a plus The Perks
- Base Salary: $90,000-$100,000 depending on experience
- Bonus: 7% paid annually, based on prior year's performance
