Full description of the position

Duties

:

• Review and analyze aging reports to identify outstanding balances by payer and age bucket
• Initiate follow-up with insurance companies and third-party payers via phone, portal, or written correspondence to resolve unpaid claims
• Investigate and resolve claim denials or rejections; submit corrected claims or appeals as necessary
• Document all conversations with patients and insurance companies in the patient's account accurately and timely
• Handle return mail and address updates
• Work small balance report to ensure proper resolution
• Support the Business Office team with billing issues as needed Education: High school diploma. Medical coding training and/or Associate degree. Experience: Minimum of 2 years medical billing and patient accounting experience required. Preferred:
• Medical billing practices
• Knowledge of E-Clinical Works (ECW) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 per week
