Outside Sales, Event Rental Company: San Fernando Valley Full Time Van Nuys, CA Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000 DOE Sales driven, outgoing, self-motivated person with sales and leadership ability. The INDIVIDUAL MUST HAVE EVENT RENTAL SALES EXPERIENCE IN THE RENTAL INDUSTRY , computer, and organizational skills. Must work well with others and have excellent communication skills and pay close attention to detail. What you will be doing: In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for building client relationships and servicing customers in a polite, helpful, friendly, and professional manner, whether in person, on the phone, or in written communication. Clients will need assistance with product selection, quotes, orders, and order adjustments. Specific

Duties

may include:

• Determining customer's needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer's job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Coordinating customer pickups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Addressing and resolving service concerns should they arise
• Cultivating new business and building client relationships
• Complete event contracts from beginning to end which includes receiving payments and necessary information for the logistical team
• Regular follow-up on all leads and quotes
• Be available outside standard hours for event emergencies and last-minute requests
• Work in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Attend job setups
• Make cold calls to generate new leads

Qualifications

include:

• Previous event planning experience and/or experience working at an event rental company
• Knowledge of event rentals a MUST
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Multitask and organizational skills
• Effective time management and prioritization
• Basic computer skills including the ability to learn and adapt to new software. (Training on rental software will be provided)
• Positive demeanor and ability to work well with others
• Detail and service oriented
• Ability to use mathematics to solve problems
• Strong English language skills. The ability to speak other languages is a plus
