Overview

We are a small business lumber yard that provides materials to builders, investors and contractors in DFW. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and enhancing the customer experience through effective communication and relationship building .

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Quote material lists and coordinate deliveries with our team
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or follow-ups.
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management. Experience
• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with a diverse customer base.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, along with basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members alike.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new products and sales techniques is essential for success in this role.
