Full description of the position

This position serves as the first point of contact for Rotary Botanical Gardens visitors; responsible for admissions and all other transactions in the dynamic and fast-paced Cottage Garden Gift Shop. Part-time position available Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays

Duties and Responsibilities

:

• Greets visitors and Cottage Garden Gift Shop customers
• Performs admission sales for Rotary Botanical Gardens visitors
• Assists customers with purchase selections
• Performs sales transactions for the Cottage Garden Gift Shop
• Promotes Garden membership and Memorial Bricks programs
• Answers, directs phone calls and imparts general information about Rotary Gardens
• Maintains professional presentation of Cottage Garden Gallery: dusts shelves, restocks and tidies merchandise, vacuums as needed
• Opens and closes gift shop & admissions registers; will also close the facility some days
• Assists Events Manager with weddings and special events as needed
• All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications

:

• Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
• Retail experience preferred
• Basic computer knowledge and experience
• Team player who is willing to assist with other duties as needed
• Outgoing personality, willingness to learn and share information with others
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Punctuality, accountability, honesty and reliability
• Must pass background check for cash handling purposes
• Must be 16 years of age or older Job Type: Part-time Shift:
• 10 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
