Position Summary

: This position covers the preparation of technical proposals for primarily Medium and Low Voltage Switchgear, Medium and Low Voltage Motor Controls.

Essential Duties

:

Duties

performed without direct supervision include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Responsible for preparing project winning proposals for, Power Distribution Centers while maintaining a high level of technical and commercial accuracy. This includes working with key suppliers to expedite quotations for secondary equipment/systems to ensure customer deadlines are met
• Develop order winning strategies based on our product strengths customized solutions and competitor product offerings.
• Effectively communicate within the Sales function to ensure our sales team and management are aware of the status of proposal and any needed information required to complete the proposal.
• Ensure appropriate authorization sign off levels are met where required.
• Provide support (technical and commercial) to the Sales team. Including pre and post PO presentations and attend bid clarification meetings.
• Responsible for maintaining personal goals and meeting the team's performance and financial targets.
• Responsible for assuring clean and timely handover of all booked projects to the project execution team.
• Assist in the continuous improvement and / or development of estimating tools and the estimating procedures.
• Enter customer opportunities into Salesforce.com and assist sales in maintaining accurate and timely information. A qualified candidate MUST have the following: (Applicable experience may be considered as substitute)
• Knowledge of power distribution products such as MV Switchgear, MV Motor Control, LV Switchgear, LV Motor Control
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical drawings (One Lines, Three Lines, Schematics, Interconnect Schedules)
• Bachelor's Degree in technical sciences (EE & ME Preferred)
• Ability to analyze customer's technical specifications to design a solution that meets customer's expectations in a cost-effective and timely manner while offer alternative solutions when possible to optimize profitability while meeting customer needs. Specific skills required:

• Working knowledge of IEEE, NEC, ANSI, NEMA, UL, and other regulatory requirements.

• Excellent written Communications skills with the ability to prepare accurate and effective communications with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Excel and Word) The following would be considered a plus for any qualified candidate:
• Prior experience in applications engineering or sales
• Knowledge of Salesforce.com use and administration
• Basic knowledge of Power Distribution Centers
• Basic knowledge of AC/DC Land drilling Rigs
• NFPA 70E / arc flash hazard training / knowledge
• Basic Knowledge with AutoCAD to develop preliminary drawings for customers to assist in understanding the design and detailed quotation Job Type: Full-time
