Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Sales Associate to join our team at Whiz Kids in River Park Square! The Lead Associate will play a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring exceptional customer service in a retail environment. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for sales (and Toys), and the ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

:

• Meet company sales goals by utilizing effective sales techniques and demonstrating product knowledge to customers.
• Greet all guests warmly and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist guests in finding solutions that best meet their shopping needs.
• Treat all guests and co-workers with respect, contributing to a positive work environment.
• Take a proactive role in guest engagement, visual merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Upsell complementary products to enhance customer experience.
• Perform cash wrap and point-of-sale duties efficiently while upholding a high level of guest service.
• Open & closing duties as needed.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a friendly manner.
• Participate in processing shipments, replenishing the sales floor, and handling additional operational tasks as needed.
• Promote and maintain a clean and safe working and shopping environment.
• Demonstrate strong guest-focused engagement both on and off the sales floor.
• Work collaboratively as a member of a team, but is also comfortable working solo for long periods of time.
• Receive feedback constructively and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Adhere to the company dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Ability to stand on feet for 5-8 hours.
• Communicate consistently with managers and leads, notifying them when supplies are needed (e.g., change, receipt paper, shopping bags).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Available to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business. Including weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 45 lbs. and climb a ladder.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to upsell and promote products effectively.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Must provide verification of legal right to work in the United States.
• Previous experience in specialty retail or the service industry is preferred, though other experience may be considered. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
