Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

Order Entry

• Processing orders to be entered
• Entering standard purchase orders (multiple lines, adhere to special instructions, check for pricing, qty, and item problems)
• Cancelling orders
• Processing direct import orders
• Processing product samples
• Pushing RUSH orders through Oracle
• Creating new purchase orders
• Fixing EDI errors (incorrect ship to locations, pricing, items, etc.)
• Setting up new customers
• Setting up new EDI customers
• Entering all changes to customer history and pricing
• Updating customer status
• Creating & updating price lists
• Setting up new customer SKU's
• Setting up new customer discounts
• Scheduling and booking EDI orders
• Releasing all orders on hold individually
• Regulating backordered inventory on orders
• Processing and maintenance future ship orders/orders awaiting product Customer Service
• Tracking backorders
• Handling discrepancies on purchase orders
• Handling all routing requests
• Managing inventory for our customers future purchase orders
• Sending out advance ship notices
• Tracking shipment progress
• Scheduling and tracking all orders with future ship dates
• Answering customer service calls
• Confirming orders email
• Processing credit card transactions and disputes
• Emailing sales representatives, employees and customers regarding problems on purchase orders Characteristics

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Oracle a plus
• Knowledge of EDI a plus
• Distribution company experience a plus
• Windows and Office proficient
• Ability to work extended hours'
