Sales Rep 1 initiates company contact by phone, e-mail or face-to-face visits in order to acquire new customers or maintain profitable relationships with existing customers. Essential Functions

• Acquire new customers.
• Calculate freight quotes, costs, profit margins, and distance and travel times.
• Build relationships with prospective and current customers as well as carriers through regular contact via phone call, e-mail or face-to-face visit.
• Work closely with Carrier and Customer Relations Coordinators to ensure acquisition of carriers for customer loads.
• Follow-up on acquisition of carriers to deliver loads for customers.
• Monitor progress and resolve any issues impeding load delivery.
• Ensure quality service by updating customers in order to keep them well-informed on progress of pending loads.
• Serve as primary source for conflict resolution between clients and carriers.
• Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as assigned by manager
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Physical Demands While performing the essential functions of this job, the representative is regularly required to talk or hear. The representative is required to sit for extended periods of time while visually and physically interacting with a computer. The representative is regularly required to use hands to finger; and reach with hands and arms. Education/Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or two years of work experience; and,
• One year of experience in logistics business development or completion of HFL's Sales and Marketing Internship or successful completion of HFL's Sales Trainee Program and successful completion of HFL's Business Development Training Modules.
• Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
