Cashier

Job Summary

Joe Machens Ford Lincoln is looking for a hard working, high energy cashier to join our company. You will be responsible for facilitating money transactions for customers by using a cash register. You will ring up sales by accepting credit, debit, checks or cash. Cashiers handle large amounts of cash each so you will be expected to act with honesty and integrity, and must possess excellent customer service skills and knowledge of our products. Candidate must posses a Valid Drivers license with a clean MVR, pass a Background check and Pre Employment Drug screening. Cashier

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greeting customers if a welcoming and positive manner
• Accepting payment by credit, debit, check or cash
• Calculating and giving correct change to the customer
• Resolving customer complaints
• Handling credits and debits
• Entering purchases into the cash register to calculate the purchase amount Cashier

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Able to to basic mathematics, handle and count cash
• Able to accommodate various shifts and hours on short notice
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Understanding how to handle unreasonable and/or difficult customers
• Being an effective and positive communicator with customers Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
