Job Summary

: The Business Development Manager (BDM) will spearhead efforts to grow the patient base, strengthen referral partnerships, lead community engagement initiatives, and support brand marketing strategies. This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who is energetic, results-driven, and passionate about making a real impact in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Patient Growth and Acquisition:
• Develop creative strategies to attract new patients (private pay, insurance, Medicaid).
• Identify, target, and build partnerships with local employers, schools, daycares, senior centers, and community organizations.
• Referral and Partnership Development:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referring dentists, orthodontists, pediatricians, general physicians, and local businesses.
• Track and report referral sources and outcomes monthly.
• Community Outreach and Events:
• Organize and represent Sweet Smiles Family Dentistry at local events, health fairs, sponsorships, and charitable activities.
• Lead initiatives to build the clinic's presence and reputation within the community.
• Marketing and Promotion:
• Support marketing campaigns including social media, print, radio, and online promotions.
• Help create content for newsletters, social media posts, promotions, and patient education materials.
• Patient Experience and Loyalty:
• Implement programs to increase patient satisfaction, loyalty, and referrals (such as patient appreciation events, loyalty rewards, and referral contests).
• Monitor and help manage online reviews and feedback to maintain a strong online reputation.
• Reporting and Strategy:
• Track outreach activities, new patient metrics, and community engagement success.
• Regularly present growth strategies and progress updates to leadership.

Qualifications

:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Management, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• 2+ years of experience in business development, healthcare marketing, dental or medical practice growth preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills -- comfortable building rapport with people at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter who thrives in a results-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to represent the clinic with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm.
• Knowledge of dental services and insurance a plus (training provided if needed).
