Store Description: The Millstone Farm Market is a small town butcher shop and farm market with a long history of serving Sunderland and the surrounding Pioneer Valley with fine meat, fresh produce, and general groceries. Job Description

: The overall goal of the position is to provide an attentive and pleasant experience to the customers during their time at the Millstone. You are the first to greet our customers and the last one to interact with them when they leave. All orders flow through a single register; as such the ability to multitask and keep track of multiple orders is a must. All of this is done with an eye on quality and the customer.

Duties

listed in order of Priority: Efficiently and accurately checking out customers at the register; Assisting customers with any shopping needs; pricing and stocking orders as they arrive; taking phone in orders as needed; stocking shelves and cases as needed; checking in orders and paying out vendors; Placing orders with vendors who call into the store; sweeping and cleaning as needed; Job

Duties

:

• Operate all aspects of the register, including cash and card transactions, scanners, and scales
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer, ensuring that all transactions are accounted for by the end of the shift
• Answer any customer inquiries, and use your knowledge of store layout and product content to give directions as needed
• Assist customers with bagging and carrying products as needed
• Maintain a clean work environment, keeping register clear for incoming customers

Requirements

: - 2-3 years customer service experience - An outgoing personality - Ability to multitask - Basic math skills - High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred skills: - An interest in food - Proficiency in operating point-of-sales system - Previous food service experience Other Information: - Work includes weekends - Paid training - Pay frequency = Every other week - Cashiers report to Front End Manager - Employees working per shift: 5 or fewer - Typical shifts run 6am-4pm OR 9am-7pm Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Shift:
