The Continental Club is seeking a motivated and experienced Event Sales director to secure private events, corporate functions, and promoter-led bookings at our venue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event sales, relationship-building, and knowledge of the entertainment and nightlife industry. This role requires proactive outreach, negotiation, and coordination to maximize venue utilization and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Identify and secure private event bookings, corporate functions, and partnerships with promoters.
• Develop and maintain relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and entertainment industry professionals.
• Conduct proactive outreach via calls, emails, and networking to generate leads.
• Create customized event packages tailored to client needs and budgets.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and event logistics to ensure a seamless booking process.
• Work closely with the venue's operations, production, and hospitality teams to execute successful events.
• Maintain a database of potential and past clients, tracking sales and inquiries.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote venue availability and attract new clients.
• Conduct venue tours and meetings with potential clients.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings to optimize sales strategies.
• Meet or exceed revenue and booking targets.

Qualifications

& Skills:

• Proven experience in event sales, booking, or hospitality management.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of the local event and entertainment scene in Oakland and the Bay Area.
• Ability to work independently and drive sales initiatives.
• Familiarity with event management software and CRM tools is a plus.
• Availability to attend events, networking functions, and occasional evening/weekend meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

:

• Previous experience working with music venues, nightclubs, or corporate event spaces.
• Established connections with promoters, event planners, and corporate clients.
