" This job is a civilian position and does not require military service" Our Salem,NH retail store (which is open to the public) is looking to hire an energetic and outgoing part time key holder. Hours 10-6 daily. Shifts are typically 10-6 or 12-6. At least one weekend shift is required. This role has the potential to turn into a full time position for the right candidate. While specializing in military surplus, camping, survival and tactical gear, as well as airsoft guns and accessories we sell so much more. We carry a large variety of men's, women's and children's clothing, headwear, boots, gloves, backpacks, knives, swords and many novelty items. We are passionate about creating a memorable shopping experience that customers will want to share and return.

Duties

A typical day will include

• Greet, assist, and check back with customers
• Use a cash register/POS system to ring transactions
• Answer e-mails and phone calls
• Coordinate with other staff members to complete daily tasks
• Taking in and receiving products/inventory, merchandising and sales floor recovery.

Qualifications

and Skills

• Knack for interacting with people and have an interest in learning and selling our products.
• Communicate with customers and staff effectively
• Previous sales/retail/customer service experience at least one year is preferred.
• Over the age of 18 and be able to stand, to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders.
• Various weaponry/blades/airsoft guns are a part of our inventory, so you must feel comfortable handling and discussing these items.
• Flexibility to work retail hours including weekend and some holidays
