The world renowned confectioner has made a name for itself with its artisan candy canes, beautifully spun ribbon candy, and larger than life lollipops. Hammond's still hand-pulls, shapes, and twists classic candies in a small batch environment using locally-sourced ingredients and original recipes all while focusing on quality and one of a kind craftsmanship. Hammond's goes beyond the traditional candy maker with a wide range of sweet and savory, all-natural caramel corns, handmade marshmallows, premium nut candies, and award-winning chocolate bars. We are looking for fun, energentic, out going people to work in our Guest Relations Department. General Guest Relations Functions:
• Meets and greets customers as they enter the building.
• Assist guest with questions regarding factory tours.
• Organize and deliver a 30 minute factory tour and behind the scenes tour in a professional and entertaining manner with up to 50 guests.
• Make the tour a quality experience for all visitors by explaining each step in the candy-making process and history. ( Training is provided)
• Take reservations in person, online and on phone.
• Help implement birthday parties, festivals, and special events Sales and Retail Functions
• Merchandise retail store and welcome center with holiday and seasonal displays.
• Clean and maintain retail store, tour and welcome center as directed.
• Assist guest with questions and educates guests on new products to promote sales.
• Make fudge and maintains chocolate department.
• Use point of sale system and handels cash.
• Maintain store inventory.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, SSOP's, health & safety codes.
• Notify supervisor of any problems or issues.

Requirements

:

• High School Diploma or GED as well as High School Juniors and Seniors working towards graduation.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Spoken and written English language proficiency.
• Clean criminal history.
• Maintain a work environment free of drugs & alcohol.
• Communicates effectively with others
• Weekdays and Saturdays
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to stand 30-90 minutes at a time
• Proficient public speaker Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $17.29 per hour
