Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting with their shopping needs. This position involves working in a dynamic retail environment, where you will engage with customers, manage transactions, and maintain the overall presentation of the store.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Process sales through the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product information to effectively sell items to customers.
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a well-presented shopping environment.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members when needed, providing guidance and support.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
• Uphold store standards for cleanliness and organization throughout the sales floor. Skills
• Proficient in cash handling and operating cash registers with accuracy.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail sales processes is highly desirable.
• Strong background in grocery store operations or retail sales is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Ability to sell products effectively through engaging communication skills.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash flow.
