Overview
MAIA is seeking a knowledgeable and service-oriented insurance professional with strong expertise in Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) procedures, Massachusetts Auto insurance coverage, and carrier filings. This role plays a key part in supporting our members, serving as MAIA's primary liaison with the RMV, and ensuring agencies stay informed, compliant, and equipped with accurate guidance. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping independent agents navigate RMV and personal lines insurance topics. Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Massachusetts RMV procedures and requirements.
- Strong technical understanding of Personal Lines insurance coverage.
- Familiarity with insurance-related entities such as Registry of Motor Vehicle(RMV), Insurance Policy Management (IPM), Merit Rating Bureau (MRB), Auto Insurer Bureau (AIB), Division of Insurance (DOI), Commonwealth Automobile Reinsurers (CAR/MAIP)
- Ability to research, interpret, and clearly explain insurance laws and regulations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign.
- Excellent customer service and phone communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate responses to member questions regarding RMV procedures, rules, forms, and personal lines coverages.
- Serve as MAIA's liaison to the RMV, including attending biweekly/monthly meetings to discuss training, updates, issues, and industry impacts.
- Review RMV training updates, evaluate potential industry effects, and recommend improvements or clarifications.
- Advocate on behalf of members with Auto Dealers (dealer complaint process), the Division of Insurance, AIB, RMV, company partners, and the Department of Revenue.
- Track, review, and update carrier filings; coordinate with insurance companies and/or the Division of Insurance to resolve filing-related concerns; and maintain relevant website pages.
- Develop, update, and teach RMV-related training classes.
- Contribute RMV-related news and updates for MAIA publications.
- Maintain and update the Registry Procedures Manual using InDesign and Nxtbook.
