Job Summary

The Retail Sales Associate provides attentive customer service, processes transactions, and supports sales initiatives to enhance the shopping experience. This position plays an important role in achieving store goals while representing Duty Free Holding's brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction
• Assess customer needs and assist with product features and recommendations
• Welcome customers and respond to inquiries
• Work toward achieving department sales goals
• Take initiative to drive sales and improve customer experience
• Keep assigned areas stocked, organized, and presentable
• Stay knowledgeable about product offerings and available options
• Process POS (point-of-sale) transactions
• Cross-sell and recommend additional products when appropriate
• Handle merchandise returns
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Build positive and lasting customer relationships
• Follow inventory control procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a retail sales associate, sales representative, or similar role preferred
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Experience with POS transactions
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Reliable means of transportation to and from work
• Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to perform under pressure and resolve customer concerns effectively
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to successfully complete a background check to obtain an airport badge Education

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
• Basic math skills Physical

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (such as product boxes or store supplies)
• Stamina to work during both high-traffic periods and slower times when fewer customers are present Schedule
• Full-time: 40 hours per week.
• This role requires rotating shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Open availability is required to meet business and airport operational needs.
