Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining store appearance, and driving sales through effective merchandising and upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Provide product demonstrations to educate customers on features and benefits.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing store layout through effective merchandising strategies.
• Stock shelves regularly to ensure product availability and assist with inventory management.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage sales transactions accurately.
• Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable items.
• Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or complaints.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in their roles.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations within the store.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with customers and team members.
• Working knowledge of hardware and automotive fields
• Must be 18 and able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Must be willing to pump propane.
• Basic math skills are required for handling transactions accurately.
• Experience with cash handling procedures is a must.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
