Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and learning new ideas. This role involves engaging with customers, assisting with product selection, and ensuring a positive shopping experience in our retail store environment. Hours are between 9:30am and 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday. Work days will vary.

Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising techniques.
• Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
• Perform cashiering duties, including cash handling and processing returns or exchanges.
• Upsell products by suggesting complementary items to enhance the customer's shopping experience.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries via phone or in-store communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills are required for cash handling and transaction processing.
• Experience with product demos is advantageous but not mandatory.
