Job Summary

Coated Metals Group (CMG), an employee-owned leader in the architectural sheet metal industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Coordinator to join our Livonia, MI team. This role plays a critical part in supporting branch success by combining customer-facing service and sales support with in-office and administrative assistance for the Outside Sales Representative. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail and is eager to learn and cross-train across multiple business functions. Duties

Reception & Customer Service

• Answer inbound office calls and route as appropriate.
• Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers and contractors.
• Provide friendly, solutions-focused support for product and order inquiries. Sales Support
• Enter new sales orders accurately into Sage 100 ERP.
• Respond to customer questions regarding material availability, lead times, and product details.
• Process sample requests, including shipping and labeling.
• Assist with warranty documentation. General Branch Support
• Assist the General Manager and Outside Sales Representative with daily operational tasks, reporting, and communication.
• Cross-train across functional areas to provide backup support as needed.
• Support process improvements to increase branch efficiency and customer satisfaction. Skills
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, strongly preferred.
• 0-4 years of professional experience, preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) required. ERP experience preferred (e.g., Sage 100).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a team-oriented environment.
• Previous experience in inside sales or customer service preferred, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or construction-related industries. Why Join CMG?
