(A Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the inquiries, tours, sales, proposals and contracts for private events within 5 Providence locations. They manage customer inquiries, negotiate contracts, coordinate with various departments, and ensure that the guest experience meets high standards of service. Key Responsibilities
: Sales & Revenue Generation
- Lead Generation : Proactively source new business through cold calling, networking, industry events, and referrals.
- Client Meetings & Tours: Meet with clients to discuss event requirements, offer private dining solutions, and conduct site tours of the venue.
- Negotiation : Develop and negotiate contracts, pricing, and event details with clients to ensure profitability while maintaining competitive pricing.
- Sales Targets : Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals for private dining room bookings and catering services.
- CRM Management : Utilize CRM systems to track client communications, event planning progress, and revenue forecasting. Event Planning & Coordination
- Event Management : Work closely with event manager to design tailored events, including menu selection, room layout, decor, and entertainment.
- Client Communication : Provide ongoing communication with clients and event manager throughout the planning process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. Customer Service & Relationship Building
- Client Satisfaction : Foster strong, long-term relationships with clients by ensuring all aspects of their private dining or event experience exceed expectations.
- Upselling & Cross-Selling: Recommend additional services such as premium catering packages, beverages, or decor upgrades to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
- Follow-Up : Ensure post-event follow-up to receive feedback and secure repeat business or referrals. Collaboration & Teamwork
- Internal Collaboration : Work closely with the kitchen, service, and operations teams to ensure profitable events are booked. Skills and
Qualifications
: Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience in event sales, catering, or hospitality sales, ideally with a focus on private dining or event spaces. Key Skills:
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Quick and efficient communication to clients is required.
- Superior organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM and POS tools (e.g., Tripleseat, OpenTable, Toast).
- Event planning expertise, with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
