Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Columbia, MD, our restaurants are known for dramatic exhibition kitchens, polished-casual ambiance, top-tier service, and approachable American cuisine that simply tastes great. The Opportunity Blueridge Restaurant Group is seeking a poised, energetic, and relationship- driven Group Sales Coordinator / Manager to join our growing team. This role oversees all group sales activity for our Rockville and Gaithersburg locations and is a critical, guest-facing position within the organization. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves connecting with people, planning memorable events, and driving revenue in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The position offers strong earning potential through a combination of hourly pay and uncapped commissions.

Compensation

$35,000-$75,000+ annually; Base + commission dependent on candidate experience

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to incoming leads, calls, and inquiries (approximately 75-85% sourced from existing restaurant clientele)
• Proactively generate new business through community networking, including local events, chambers of commerce, concierges, and strategic business partnerships
• Meet with clients, conduct on-site tours, and effectively promote restaurant spaces, menus, and services
• Coordinate and confirm all event details, including contracts, menus, pricing, and timelines
• Facilitate menu planning and customization to meet client needs and event objectives
• Collaborate closely with restaurant management and service teams to ensure seamless event execution
• Prepare and manage contracts, menus, correspondence, and internal reports
• Track sales activity, commissions, and performance metrics
• Represent the brand with warmth, professionalism, and a guest-first mindset at all times
• Perform additional duties as needed to support overall team success

Qualifications

& Skills

• 3-5 years of previous experience in sales and customer service required
• Proven track records of success in sales, ideally within restaurants, hotels, or event driven environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Highly organized with excellent and multitasking abilities
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Passion for sales, relationship-building, and achieving performance goals
