Compensation

: Commission-Based | Estimated Annual Earnings: $75,000 -$100,000+ Position

Overview

: Nassau Provisions, a leading food distribution company, is seeking a motivated and experienced Independent Sales Representative to grow and service a defined group of supermarket and retail food accounts throughout the NY/NJ region. This commission-based role offers the flexibility of independent work combined with the structure and support of an established distributor.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Visit assigned retail store accounts weekly to maintain relationships and drive consistent order flow.
• Promote and sell new product offerings to increase basket size and product penetration.
• Grow sales within existing accounts through merchandising support and strategic recommendations.
• Open new retail accounts by prospecting and presenting Nassau Provisions' product offerings.
• Serve as the main point of contact for your customers, managing follow-ups and addressing needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of visits, sales activities, and opportunities using provided tools.
• Work closely with Nassau Provisions' internal team for support with pricing, product specs, and logistics.

Requirements

:

• Prior experience in the retail food industry (wholesale, DSD, distributor, or supermarket background preferred).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and order entry systems.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license -- daily travel is required.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Flexible availability tailored to customer schedules -- must be able to start early mornings.

Compensation

& Structure:

• Commission based, with draw.
• Estimated first-year earnings between $75,000 - $100,000 based on initial account list/territory, with uncapped growth potential.
• Contractor position (1099) -- you manage your own taxes, benefits, and business expenses. Territory:
• Accounts and prospects located throughout New York and New Jersey , including:
• New York City
• Long Island
• Northern and Central NJ Job Type: Contract Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
