Duties

• Assist customers in selecting electrical supplies, tools, and accessories by providing detailed product information and demonstrations
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales
• Maintain an organized and attractive merchandise display, ensuring products are well-stocked and properly labeled
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions with professionalism and courtesy, utilizing strong phone etiquette when assisting remote inquiries
• Support inventory management through stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and communicating low inventory levels to management
• Promote store promotions and upselling techniques to enhance sales performance while ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or hardware environment with familiarity in merchandising and stocking practices
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is a plus
• Strong communication skills with bilingual abilities preferred to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Proficiency with POS systems, basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations, and familiarity with cashiering procedures
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences
• Knowledge of electrical products or willingness to learn about technical specifications and applications
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience with receiving and/or in a warehouse setting Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person
