Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selections, and maintaining a well- organized sales floor. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating product features, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Bilingual skills and previous retail experience are a plus, but not required. The Retail Sales Associate plays a vital role in driving sales through effective communication, upselling, and merchandising.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
• Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Upsell products and suggest complementary items to increase sales
• Maintain merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking activities
• Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting at all times
• Follow phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via online communication
• Supervise or assist with training new team members when necessary Skills

• Ability to perform retail math for transactions and inventory management
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos
• Upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales calculations
• Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is advantageous
