Equipment Salesperson

Position Summary

Sells new/used trucks and trailers by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects. Position requires a broad knowledge of the companys services, products, and marketing techniques. Position Responsibility 1. Calls on prospective customers and assigned accounts. 2. Maintains contacts with customers in relation to their requirements; keeps current on market and customer trends. 3. Identifies and profiles prospective customers, develops and applies strategy necessary to obtain orders. 4. Works floor duty as assigned. 5. Makes company services available to customers. 6. Refers complaints and leads to the proper department managers of company. 7. Reports on competitive activity. 8. Keeps informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers that will assist in sales efforts. 9. Keeps records and makes reports on all phases of activities. 10. Coordinates efforts with outside parts and service sales personnel to achieve full market penetration. 11. Keeps all departments informed of customer needs. 12. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Relationships The Equipment Salesperson reports directly to his/her Sales Manager where applicable.

Qualifications

1. Broad knowledge of company's services, products, and marketing techniques. 2. Product knowledge. 3. Direct sales or equipment sales experience preferred. 4. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 5. Good organizational and time management skills. 6. High energy level and positive attitude. 7. CDL preferred. Evaluation Criteria 1. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $48,801.12 - $180,000.00 per year
