Job Description

: The Account Executive position is responsible for developing and executing a collaborative growth agenda between MD Sports and big box retailers. Successful candidates will partner with the VP of Marketing and Merchandising Team to develop a road map for growth. Primary

Responsibilities

• Plan, build and execute an annual business plan to grow import, domestic and DSV businesses.
• Frequently interact with the customer to drive execution of the business plan.
• Analyze business trends and ideate on ways to drive the business - collaborate with cross functional team on the tactics.
• Conduct market research to understand the industry, competitors, and new trends.
• Develop and manage a sales forecast and work with internal and external partners for alignment.
• Develop promotional plans and partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to create online marketing plans.
• Regularly meet with the customer for updates, as well as new product presentations.

Qualifications

:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an account executive or account manager that specifically worked with big box retailers. This experience is required and applicants without this background will not be considered.
• Bachelor's degree in business or similar field; MBA a plus
• Selling experience within consumer products, preferably across multiple brands.
• Experience developing and managing sales budgets and industry KPI's.
• History of negotiating complex business deals that provide value to all parties.
• Ability to operate independently given direction and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised.
• Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions accordingly.
• Ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies.
• Strong project planning, tracking, and organization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner.
• Strong understanding of key retail metrics and retail math.
• Well versed in using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of Walmart connect and retail link preferred. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
