Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Banquet & Events Sales Manager to lead our event sales and planning efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, event management, and sales, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves developing new business, managing client relationships, and coordinating seamless events to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. The Banquet & Events Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in promoting our venue's offerings through effective marketing and upselling strategies, while maintaining high standards of service and organizational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and event marketing initiatives.
• Manage the entire sales cycle from initial inquiry to contract signing, including negotiations and upselling additional services.
• Develop customized proposals for clients, incorporating catering, decor, audiovisual needs, and other event requirements.
• Coordinate with the catering, banquet staff, and vendors to ensure all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly.
• Oversee event planning logistics such as layout arrangements, timelines, and staffing requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions, contracts, budgets, and event details using organizational tools.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to promote venue offerings through digital campaigns, social media, and community outreach.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally throughout the planning process.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards related to events and food service operations.
• Monitor event budgets to maximize revenue opportunities while controlling costs. Experience
• Proven experience in banquet sales, event planning, or hospitality management within hotels, restaurants, or event venues.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful upselling and closing deals.
• Knowledge of marketing strategies specific to the hospitality industry and experience in event marketing campaigns.
• Familiarity with contracts, catering services, and restaurant or hotel operations is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members alike.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Experience in budgeting for events and managing guest services to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Background in fundraising or guest services is a plus for venues that host charitable or community events.
