Job Purpose : Our shop technician position is responsible for assembly and testing of automated valve assemblies, repair of valve actuators and controls, shipping and receiving, and general housekeeping. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted, position requiring mechanical and electrical aptitude. This position requires ability to move heavy products and use tools. The candidate must be able to multi-task, work independently but with support. Attention to detail is most important.

Key Responsibilities

: Title : Shop Technician Reports to: Sr. Technician and Vice President Location: Edison, New Jersey

• Assembly & Testing:
• Pulling inventory, assembly and testing of automated valve assemblies including: electric, pneumatic, and electro-pneumatic controls. Repair: Evaluating and repairing valve actuators for customers. Shipping and Receiving: Packing valves, actuators, automated valve assemblies for shipment by UPS, FedEx, LTL Carrier, or our trucks. Receiving material from suppliers. Putting inventory away in warehouse. General Housekeeping: Keeping work areas neat and free of debris.

Requirements

:

• High school diploma
• Organized and ability to multitask to meet deadlines
• Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
• Attention to detail and technical requirements
• Work with team to accomplish objectives
• Committed to further developing technical knowledge and skills
• Actively participate in company trainings to develop expertise
• Basic computer skills Preferences:
• 3 years of job experience and/or technical/trade school
• Valve and actuator experience or knowledge
• We will train the right candidate Work Authorization/Other
