Position Summary

: We are seeking an Account Manager over our Wisconsin/N. Illinois territory. Our Account Managers are exposed to many types of manufacturing processes in different types of manufacturing environments. It is the Account Managers responsibility to learn these processes, along with Yushiro's product line, to ensure mutual success. This position requires managing the territories existing customer base, supporting our distribution partners along with reaching out to new potential customers to expand business. The Account Manager will be required to take samples at customer facilities, answer customer questions, recommend/test new products, cold call and prospect new customers, and promote additional business. Position will average 50% Sales and 50% Service. Research suitable prospects for new business and make cold calls to prospective customers via telephone or personal visits. Understand existing customer base to ensure proper service. Work with local distribution partners to support and create value Work toward increased product line knowledge and technical skills in order to provide product recommendations. Effectively interface with the plant, lab and customer service personnel. Initiate new product development based on customer needs. Provide in a timely manner a weekly report as well as a monthly report to Sales management and Sales/Marketing Coordinator detailing calls made and customers visited. Coordinate customer information with sales and marketing personnel to avoid and/or eliminate any problems with customer applications. Attend semi-annual sales meetings. Make presentations to customers, as needed. Submit expense reports detailing customer contact activity in a timely manner. Prepare annual sales budget for territory.

Qualifications

: Reside within the sales territory, target location south east Wisconsin. Strong oral, written, interpersonal and organizational skills are essential for building relationships with new and existing customers. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Ability to read, analyze & interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, including sales reports & technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Industrial Sales experience with Metalworking fluid experience a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Must have valid driver's license & maintain for duration of employment. Familiarity with Japanese business culture is desirable. Travel: This position will require extensive day travel and some overnight, depending on city of residence. Position should only average 1 overnight stay per week

Education and Experience

: Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university, preferred. Minimum 3 years in industrial sales, preferably within automotive industry. 3 years of metalworking fluids, die casting, machine tooling, or other related industry experience, preferred. Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the Account Manager is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to drive long distances, as well as fly on occasion. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions in industrial environments.
