Position

Overview

We are seeking an Inside Sales / Bid Specialist to support the development and submission of truck and equipment bids for government agencies, municipalities, and commercial fleets. Our team already has a dedicated Bid Coordinator who identifies and tracks available bid opportunities. This role focuses on developing the bid itself, including sourcing trucks, coordinating equipment configurations, negotiating pricing with vendors, and assembling the information required to submit a complete proposal. This position requires someone comfortable working with truck dealerships, manufacturers, and equipment vendors while coordinating internally with sales and management.

Responsibilities

Bid Development

• Review bid opportunities provided by the Bid Coordinator
• Analyze vehicle and equipment specifications required by each bid
• Develop compliant truck and equipment configurations Vehicle Sourcing
• Locate available truck chassis through dealership networks
• Confirm availability, specifications, and lead times
• Coordinate chassis procurement required for bids Vendor Coordination
• Work with equipment manufacturers and suppliers to obtain pricing and specifications
• Coordinate with vendors for service bodies, cranes, compressors, and other truck equipment
• Ensure equipment configurations meet bid requirements Pricing & Negotiation
• Negotiate pricing with dealerships, manufacturers, and vendors
• Build competitive bid pricing while maintaining company margins Proposal Support
• Assemble pricing, specifications, and supporting documentation required for bids
• Work with internal staff to finalize bid submissions
• Ensure proposals are complete and submitted before deadlines Inside Sales Support
• Assist with inbound fleet and equipment sales inquiries
• Provide quotes and equipment configuration guidance to customers
• Support the sales team with equipment and pricing information

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience working with trucks, fleet vehicles, or heavy equipment preferred
• Comfortable negotiating with vendors and coordinating with manufacturers
• Detail-oriented and capable of reviewing specifications and technical requirements Preferred Experience
• Commercial truck dealership experience
• Fleet sales or equipment sales experience
• Government or municipal bid experience
• Knowledge of truck equipment such as service bodies, dump bodies, hooklifts, and more. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
