Full description of the position

The Metal Panel Systems Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for the front lines of Customer Service Operations: This position involves all inside sales activity, phones, counter sales and dispatching. The ISR will be responsible for handling a high volume of customer inquiries promptly and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, while maintaining strict communication with the all sales and production staff, with a high emphasis on customer service. The ISR will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, listening to and understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process from inception to completion. The ideal candidate should be able to close sales and meet targets. Additionally, the ISR is responsible for working alongside the Plant Manager, Estimators and Project Managers to maintain designated and accurate inventory levels, quality control and requested lead times.

• Performs all inside sales functions including answering phones, counter sales and email/web inquiries. Creates sales orders and quotes.
• Perform audits of sales orders and purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
• Responsible for hand offs of all jobs sold by estimators, including order entry and accuracy, purchase of material, and completion of submittals.
• Help maintain designated inventory levels.
• Assist the Controller with the management and collection of aged receivables when needed
• Schedules deliveries for MPS fleet and 3PL
• Check all loads with delivery drivers to ensure 100% accuracy and timely deliveries
• Clearly communicates with customers through active listening skills.
• Understands customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities.
• Answers potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email.
• Creats and maintains a database of current and potential customers within ERP.
• Explains and demonstrates features of products and services.
• Exceed customer expectations by offering professionalism through all aspects of a transaction
• Understands basic mathematical functions including but not limited to conversions.
• Be familiar with products and services offered by the company.
• Communicates clearly with other team members
• Inform customers of alternative items stocked by the company.
• Responds swiftly and courteously to customer complaints or inquiries.
• Builds rapport with customers and staff through friendly, professional and engaging communication
• Must demonstrate sheet metal roofing knowledge with keeping customers as the point of focus

Duties

as Assigned Prerequisites:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years inside sales experience in the construction industry desired
• 2+ years of Sheet Metal Roofing Experience desired
• Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of the Commercial Roofing Industry is a plus
• Proven track record of successful sales experience and steady employment preferred
• Must Be able to work 7:00 - 4:00 M-F Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
