Job Title: Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative Department: Sales Reports To: Sales Manager / Director of Sales

Position Summary

The Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative serves as a key point of contact for customers, providing sales support, product information, quotations, and order processing for industrial gasket and fluid sealing products. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to support customers in selecting the proper sealing solutions for their applications. The representative works closely with outside sales, engineering, production, and shipping teams to ensure accurate and timely service.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding gaskets, sealing products, and related materials via phone and email
• Prepare accurate quotations for standard and custom gasket and sealing products
• Process customer orders and ensure accuracy of pricing, specifications, and delivery requirements
• Provide technical and product information to help customers select appropriate sealing materials and products
• Work with application engineering and production teams to clarify specifications and lead times
• Support outside sales representatives with quotes, order follow-ups, and customer communications
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and orders
• Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or issues to customers
• Assist in resolving customer concerns, product issues, and delivery questions in a professional and timely manner
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote repeat business
• Identify opportunities for additional sales or product solutions within existing accounts

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inside sales or customer service experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience with industrial gaskets, sealing materials, fluid sealing products, or related industrial components is highly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, or material descriptions is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of fluid sealing products and applications, gasket materials such as PTFE, graphite, rubber, and metal gaskets
• Strong mechanical aptitude and skill set
• Understanding of industrial sealing applications in pumps, valves, piping, and process equipment
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, and production teams
