We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in advancing the reach of our home health and hospice services. This position blends strategy, relationship-building, and compassionate communication to strengthen partnerships, identify new opportunities, and guide families during important care transitions. As a Business Development Specialist, you will:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute strategic business initiatives that support the growth of ProHealth Home Health & Hospice.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with providers, community organizations, and care facilities to generate referrals and increase awareness of our services.
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff to align marketing and outreach strategies with organizational goals and ensure consistency across initiatives.
  • Strategically identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand our services and support revenue growth.
  • Guide families through the admissions process, including assessing eligibility for hospice care and partnering with the intake team to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Communicate with sensitivity and professionalism with healthcare providers, patients, and families during critical decision-making times.
  • Design and deliver community education and awareness activities, including presentations, events, and marketing materials that highlight the value of our services.
  • Represent ProHealth as the provider of choice by establishing and nurturing relationships with physicians, skilled nursing facilities, long-term care organizations, and other referral sources.
What You Will Do

: The Continuum of Care Business Development Specialist is responsible for promoting awareness and availability of ProHealth Care's Chronic and Post- Acute care services as well as other clinical areas to a multitude of referral sources in the medical community. This role is responsible for acquiring and maintaining industry expertise and information regarding ProHealth Care's offerings. Acting as a liaison between the customer and our organization, this person will develop and expand new and existing account relationships to increase utilization of ProHealth Care's post-acute care services and clinical programs. What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Expertise in Physician Relations, Communication, Marketing and program development.
  • Previous health care sales experience preferred. Medical background preferred (e.g. RT, RN, PT, OT, SW, or device or pharma sales).
  • Ability to work independently, self-directed, detail and task oriented, well organized, and effective communicator with all levels of medical professionals. Efficient time management skills.
  • Experience in account development and relationship management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Extensive local travel within assigned territories or sites. This Position Will Offer You:
