Full description of the position

We are seeking someone with hands-on roofing or roofing materials experience to join a family owned roofing supply company. This position is ideal for a candidate who understands roofing systems, measurements, materials, and the day-to-day needs of contractors and builders. Sales experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong industry knowledge. This is an in-house role focused on quoting, estimating, customer support, and relationship management within the metal roofing industry.

Compensation

is based on experience, with the lower end of the range intended for candidates newer to roofing or sales who are willing to learn, and the higher end for candidates with several years of experience in roofing, design, and quoting.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Develop and maintain relationships with roofing contractors, builders, and general contractors
• Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals
• Provide product knowledge and guidance on metal roofing materials and systems
• Prepare and present quotes, bids, and proposals
• Follow up on leads and maintain an active sales pipeline
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and timely delivery
• Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and competitor activity
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

Qualifications

:

• 2+ years of sales experience in roofing, construction materials, or a related field (metal roofing experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and measurements
• Experience with designing, quoting, and estimating projects preferred
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Proficient with CRM systems and basic computer skills
• Valid driver's license if needed for occasional site visits
• Roofing installation experience highly valued

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing relationships within the local roofing or construction industry
• Experience in B2B sales
