Overview

Ewa Pantry is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, maintaining a clean and organized store, and ensuring shelves are fully stocked. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and is committed to creating a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, courteous, and professional service.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit/debit, and mobile payments.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and complete shift reconciliation.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays while ensuring merchandise is organized and attractively presented.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
• Check product expiration dates and rotate inventory using first-in, first-out (FIFO) procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, checkout area, restrooms, and other store areas.
• Verify identification for age-restricted purchases in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Assist customers with product selection, questions, and resolving concerns in a professional manner.
• Follow all company safety, sanitation, security, and loss prevention procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members and assist with other store duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Preferred Skills
